We are delighted to announce that the Levin Center’s Congressional Oversight Records Database (CORD) has expanded its collection by adding records from a new congressional committee. As of today, CORD has made U.S. House Homeland Security Committee oversight reports and records dating from the committee’s establishment in 2003 to 2024 available to the public free of charge.
This new committee release adds 200 new oversight reports and records to the existing database. With this addition, CORD now houses a unique collection of 1,169 congressional oversight reports for scholars and academics to use in their research.
Stay tuned as we release the U.S. Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee in late October!
CORD is an effort by the Levin Center to make available for scholars, oversight practitioners, and the public oversight documents that are not easily accessible. The database currently holds all known congressional oversight reports from the U.S. House Oversight and Accountability Committee, the U.S. House Homeland Security Committee, and the U.S. Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee from the 106th to 116th Congress (1999-2020). For questions regarding the data collection methodology and protocols, please contact Grace Moore, Levin Center Research and Data Specialist.
