Chia Morgan

PCO Project Co-Lead

Chia Morgan is a lifelong resident of Flint, MI and is most known for her unwavering love for her City and her quest to  ensure that it’s a thriving community in years to come. She is a tireless advocate for social justice, violence prevention, mental health awareness and self-care. Chia graduated from the University of Michigan-Flint where she obtained a Bachelor’s in Social Work and Master’s in Public Administration. Chia is currently employed with Genesee Health System. In addition, she is Program Coordinator for a non-profit organization, Well of Hope.

 

She is currently a member of the selection committee for the Voices for Children Champion’s Award Breakfast. Morgan is a board commissioner for the Flint Housing Commission and is a  member of the Neighborhood Small Grants Committee for the Community Foundation of Greater Flint. She is also a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated. In her spare time she is a public speaker, notary public and wedding planner. Her most important and favorite title is mother to her nine  year old daughter, Malia.
